PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a navigation apparatus, wherein the display at the time when the destination is selected and set, is easy to observe, by reading the facility data on the facility in a display range with a detecting position as a reference from a CD-ROM, and making it possible to access the data. SOLUTION: With the detected position detected by a position detecting means 62 for detecting the present position of a moving body as reference, a map is displayed on a monitor 40. The path guidance from the detected position to the destination is performed by a destination guidance means 72. Then, the facility data for the facilities in a display range with the detected position as reference are read out of a recording medium such as a CD-ROM 30 and access is made possible. The relative position from the detected position for each facility of the read-out data is computed. The facilities in a preset range around the present position of the moving body are displayed on the monitor 40 based on the computed position and the detected position. One facility is selected from among the displayed facilities. The position of the selected facility is set as the destination, and the map display part is rewritten when the facility is displayed. |
