MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium ensuring satisfactory electromagnetic transducing characteristics even when high density recording is performed. SOLUTION: A nonmagnetic layer as a lower layer 4 and a magnetic layer as an upper layer 2 are formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 1. In this double- layer coating structure, the thickness of the upper layer is regulated to <=0.5μm and acicular inorg. powder of 0.05-0.2μm major axis size is incorporated into nonmagnetic powder in the lower layer.
