<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the take-out property of originals retained in the original feeding path and to improve the operability of a device for a user. SOLUTION: In the image reader having a first reading part for reading the image of a still original placed on platen glass and a second reading part for reading the image of a feeding original passed through one part on the platen glass, a reading means for reading the image of the original, feeding means for feeding the original and transparent film member 7 for guiding the feeding original at the second reading part are provided. The feeding means has a pressing member 8 for regulating the move of the original while being confronted to the transparent film member 2 with a prescribed interval between at the second reading part, and the user takes up a DF unit 6 so that the pressing member 8 can be saved away from the transparent film member 7.</p> |
