The invention relates to an ultrasonic fluid counter (10; 110) comprising at least two ultrasonic transducers (12, 14) defining between each other an ultrasonic measuring path and emitting and receiving the ultrasonic waves in the fluid along said ultrasonic measuring path at at least one ultrasonic frequency, characterised in that attenuation means (30, 36, 46, 52, 60, 70, 80, 90, 95, 180) of the parasitic ultrasonic waves generated externally to said fluid meter and transmitted by the fluid at the ultrasonic frequency or frequencies are associated with the fluid meter.
