PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of measurement and the work efficiency by measuring the distance between incident points of an oblique probe, operating a refraction angle based on the measured distance and the thickness of a specimen, and indicating the operation results. SOLUTION: A frame 2 houses transmission and reception oblique probes T, R such that the interval can be varied only in the facing direction. A drive means 3 imparts a driving force to any one of the probes T, R. An optical distance measuring means 5 measures the distance Y between incident points of oblique probes T, R and means 4 detects and indicates a transmitted echo. Means 6 operates a refraction angle θ based on an output from the means 5 and a previously inputted thickness (t) of a specimen 1 and then indicates the operated refraction angle θ. Since the operations for reading the distance Y and calculating the refraction angle θare automated, reliability of measurement and work efficiency are enhanced. |
