PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the stereoscopic image pickup device without a sense of incongruity due to a deviation in a sight direction in the case of 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional image pickup. SOLUTION: The stereoscopic image pickup device is provided with zoom lens 1, a single focus lens 2 whose optical path is almost in parallel with that of the zoom lens 1, a 1st video processing circuit 4 processing an image from an image pickup element 3a of the zoom lens 1 and segmenting the image to revise the sight direction of the zoom lens 1, a 2nd video processing circuit 5 processing the image from the image pickup element 3b of the lens 2, a 2 dimensional/3 dimensional changeover switch 12 selecting the 2-dimensional image pickup using the zoom lens 1 or the 3-dimensional image pickup using both the lenses 1, 2, and a sight direction control means 7 controlling the 1st video processing circuit 4 based on the input from the 2 dimensional/3 dimension changeover switch 12. |
