PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inspect the shape of a shielding plate being a circular object to be inspected. SOLUTION: An image processing operation is performed to measure image data 2'' which is obtained in such a way that the coordinate system of an image constituting image data 2' on an object to be inspected cut out from image data 5', which is a digital image from a camera, is converted once into an rθpolar coordinate system and that the coordinate system is then developed in an rθorthogonal coordinate system.
