PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of reducing a driving torque and also capable of forming a good toner layer without causing the cost increase and the space increase and also without causing the deterioration of an image even in the case of using a control sleeve. SOLUTION: A magnetic plate 20 of a prescribed width is arranged at the end parts of a developing sleeve 1a and of a control sleeve 6a with leaving only a gap D so as to surround the developing sleeve 1a and the control sleeve 6a, and a developable area is set in an area inside the magnetic plate 20. And also, a magnet roller in the developing sleeve 1a and the magnetic roller in the control sleeve 6a are arranged so that the end parts of the rollers may be almost aligned with the end part of the magnetic plate 20. And a scraper 7 is arranged with leaving a prescribed gap from the end part of the magnetic plate 20, and the leading end of the scraper 7 is brought into contact with the surface of the control sleeve 6a so as to clean the toner sticking to the surface. |
