PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide changeability for a part of sequential play data in accordance with the chords specified by the user by converting the play data on the basis of the chord progress sensed by a chord sensing means and the chord specified by a chord specifying means. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 controls the motions of the whole electronic instrument, and a program memory 2, working memory 3, play memory 4, accompaniment pattern memory 5, key sensing circuit 6, switch sensing circuit 7, display circuit 8, and sound source circuit 9 are connected with the CPU 1 through a data and address bus 16. A chord sensing means extracts chords on the basis of the play data supplied bit by bit and senses the chord progress in the whole play data. A chord specifying means supplies chords corresponding to the user's manipulation. A converting means converts the play data, i.e., its pitch, on the basis of the chord progress sensed by the chord sensing means and the chord specified by the chord specifying means. |
