PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic musical instrument in which the position of a key sounded by a semiautomatic musical performance can be confirmed by displaying the positional information of a musical performance operating part corresponding to at least one of a processed sound and a next produced sound. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 controls the whole of an electronic musical instrument on the basis of a control program stored in a ROM 2. A program, a timbre parameter, frequency information tape and the like and besides melody data are stored in the ROM 2. In a key-on processing, a next data unit to be sounded is read out from melody data corresponding to a predetermined area, and a sound processing is carried out on the basis of the read data unit. The CPU 1 controls the driving circuit of a display device 7 inside a panel circuit 5 to extinguish the currently illuminating display device 7 in the corresponding area and light up the display device 7 disposed in the upper part of a key corresponding to a processed sound. Therefore, the position of a key corresponding to a produced sound can be confirmed and a practice such as fingering can be easily performed. |
