PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor element carrier tape which is high enough in antistatic properties and restrained from inducing static electricity when a cover tape is separated from it by a method wherein spots and vicinities of the pocket with which a semiconductor element comes into contact and the heat sealant layer of the cover tape are set smaller in surface resistivity or volume resistivity than a specific value. SOLUTION: A semiconductor element carrier tape is composed of a part pocket 1 where a semiconductor element 6 is housed, a plastic belt-like molded body 10, and a heat-sealing cover tape 7 which covers the pocket 1, wherein spots and vicinities of the pocket 1 with which the semiconductor element 6 comes into contact are set smaller in surface resistivity or volume resistivity than 10<12>Ωat a temperature of 23 deg.C and a relative humidity of 90%. The semiconductor element 6 is mounted on a seat 3 provided in the pocket 1, wherein the seat 3 is formed so as to restrain the metal lead 61 of the element 6 from coming into contact with the pocket 1. Furthermore, the heat sealant layer of the cover tape 7 is set smaller in surface resistivity or volume resistivity than 10<12>Ωat a temperature of 23 deg.C and a relative humidity of 90%.
