PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of a converter by providing a resonance circuit which is connected between one of both ends of an AC terminal of an active filter and an AC power supply and resonates with the basic frequency of the AC power supply and also providing a reactor which is connected in parallel to the active filter. SOLUTION: The converter device is provided with a power converter 4 containing the AC/DC conversion PWM converters 41 and 42 which are controlled with phase differences set to the carrier frequency every (360 deg. /N), an active filter 50 which eliminates an N-multiple component against the carrier frequency components of the converters 41 and 42, a resonance circuit 55 which is connected between one of both ends of an AC terminal of the filter 50 and an AC power supply and resonates with the basic frequency of the AC power supply, and a reactor 56 which is connected in parallel to the filter 50. The constants Lh and Ch of the reactor 56 and a capacitor 57 are selected to resonate with the frequency of the AC power supply. In such a constitution, a static power conversion device of small capacity can compensate the frequency component with no insertion of a transformer having the heavy weight and a large size. |
