PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to flexibly sense reception without complicating a constitution by connecting the reception sensor composed of a calling tone detector and an oscillator to the receiver terminal of a portable receiver body. SOLUTION: A reception sensor 20 is connected to the receiver terminal 2 of a portable telephone set body 1 and a call signal detector 3 in the sensor 20 detects a call signal. Then power is supplied from a power supply 5 through a switch 4, the oscillator 6 is driven and controlled and reception to its own station is sensed and informed. Thereby the size of the portable receiver body can be reduced and reception can be flexibly sensed without preparing specific connection structure.
