PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a time from picture and writing transmission till its display without the use of a display memory during image processing. SOLUTION: In the transmitter side encoder, an A/D converter circuit 4 samples one frame of picture and writing image and the image is sequentially stored in image memories A-D of a signal storage circuit 6 to generate four images while interleaving the image by 1/4 and shifting a re-sampling point, a coding circuit 8 codes the images one by one and the coded images are sent. On the other hand, In the receiver side decoder, the decoded four images are stored respectively in four image memories E-H of a signal storage circuit and the write of the images to the memories E-H is controlled to start display when the first image is decoded and then the image is displayed just after the 1st image is decoded and a time difference from coding of the picture and writing images with high resolution till their display is reduced by increasing the resolution as number of received images is increased thereby decreasing the capacity of the picture and writing image storage memories. |
