<p>A Plastic band esp. suitable for packing is novel in consisting of two co-extruded or co-injected layers of differing colours. i.e. a background (2) and a surface layer (3, 3'). Also claimed is a plant to produce the band as described. Pref. the surface layer is thinner than the background (2) and may cover one side entirely; alternatively it only partly covers that side, and is formed into long parallel strips. Background and surface layers consist of, or are constructed from similar, different or mutually compatible materials such as polypropylene, HDPE and PE. Lubricating agent may be added to the material forming the surface layer.</p> |
