<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a handset by controlling reflection of a carrier signal sent from a main body by the handset to generate a corresponding code and sending it to the main body. SOLUTION: A carrier frequency signal is generated from an infrared transmission part 31 formed in a system main body 40 to send infrared rays through an infrared transmission diode. At this time, a lens part of a handset remote controller 50 condenses infrared rays sent from the main body 40 to a reflector part. When a user inputs a corresponding key of a key input part 51 for the purpose of executing a desired function, a microcomputer 57-1 controls an LCD. That is, the microcomputer 57-1 controls turning-on/off of the LCD by an LCD control part 57-2 and intercepts infrared rays or permits them to pass through to generate a code indicating the corresponding function as the handset remote controller 50 uses the reflector part to reflect the infrared rays sent from the main body 40.</p> |
