SOLUTION: A discharge lamp ballast consists of a ballast body, in which a transformer body composed of a bobbin, on which a coil is wound, and a core is housed in a case, capacitor fitting members integrally mounted on the ballast body and a capacitor detachably set up to the capacitor fitting members and covered with a case made of synthetic resin, etc. Cut-erected sections 44, to which the edge sections 52 of the case 65 for the capacitor 50 are caught and engaged. are projected and formed to the capacitor fitting members 42 while holding-fixing piece sections 46 being formed on the opposite side of the cut-erected sections 44 and having resiliency conformed to the contour shape of the base 53 of the capacitor 50 are formed integrally.</p> |
