<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a generator for vehicle in which the fluctuation of engine load incident to transition between the generating state and nongenerating state of a generator can be suppressed when a high capacity electric load is not operating while avoiding increase in the scale of generator or control system thereof. SOLUTION: During a part or entire nonoperating period of a high capacity electric load 6, the duty factor of a transistor 13 for switching the exciting current is limited and during the operating period of high capacity electric load 6, limitation of the duty factor is inhibited. With such an arrangement, output current from a generator 20 is not increased abruptly even if power generation is started when the high capacity electric load 6 is not operating thus preventing impact or decrease of engine r.p.m. due to abrupt increase of engine load.</p> |
