PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a construction of equipment and to reduce power consumption by making a remote control device transmit a power-ON signal and time information together. SOLUTION: When a power-ON key 1a of a remote control transmitter 1 is pushed, a power-ON signal and a time information signal of a clock part 2 are transmitted together and they are received by a receiver circuit 3 of main-body equipment 11. The received data are discriminated by a signal decoding circuit 4 and a power supply frequency component extraction circuit 7 starts to operate on the basis of the power-ON data. The time data are stored in a time data holding circuit 5 and sent to a clock stepping circuit 6 through a switching circuit 8 and a time value of a clock of the main-body equipment 11 is set in accordance with the received time data. Then, the switching circuit 8 connects a signal line to the stepping circuit 6 to the signal line from the extraction circuit 7 by switching. The extraction circuit 7 extracts a power supply frequency component from a power supply plug 12 and inputs it to the stepping circuit 6 so as to make the clock conduct stepping. The time data obtained by the stepping are sent to a time indicating circuit 9 and the time is indicated by a clock indicating part 10. |
