PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for forming the reflecting surface of the reflector of the vehicle lighting fixture which can obtain the reflector with superior lighting fixture visibility while vehicle-side restriction conditions are met when a multi-parabolic surface is applied to a free curved-surface reflector. SOLUTION: A basic reflecting surface as an object surface where the multi- parabolic surface is formed is set preliminarily under certain setting conditions to obtain a basic reflecting surface Ro'. Then the angles of incidenceθof light beams having the source at a focal position F are calculated for various sites on the Ro' are calculated and plural equi-incidence-angle curves Iθi are formed on the Ro'. On the basis of those Iθ' is, an incidence angle distribution is evaluated. When a good evaluation result is obtained, the Ro' is set as the basic reflecting surface (Ro), but when not, the setting conditions are changed and the preliminary setting and incidence angle distribution evaluation are repeated. Consequently, the basic reflecting surface having a superior incidence angle distribution can be set so as to minimize the formation of dark parts on the reflecting surface while securing a reflector solid angle. |
