T-S-T TYPE TIME DIVISION CHANNEL DEVICE AND ITS CONTROLLING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a compact and economical T-S-T type time division channel device by constituting the channel device so as to increase/decrease the whole hardware units of the space switches in accordance with the capacity of channels. SOLUTION: Selectors SELH are connected to the input highways #5 to #8 of space switches HSW#1 TO hsw#4 and secondary time switches SSW#1 to SSW#4. One input of a selector connected to the (4+K)th input highway of each HSW is newly connected to a Kth primary time switch PSW. The other input is connected to a (4+K)th PSW. A selector is connected to the (4+K)th input highway of each SSW. One input of the selector is newly connected to the Kth HSW and the other input is connected to a conventional (4+K)th HSW. Since inexpensive selectors are used, the number of space switches can be reduced.
