The device is carried on the body of a person and consists of at least one registration and transmission device (2,4) for registering at least one life-representing body function, e.g. heart-beat. The registration device includes at least one sensor (5) for measuring the body function. It then simultaneously produces a signal for the activation of the transmitting device. The registration and transmitting device is integrated or attached to an instrument (11) which is carried by the person on a daily basis and in close proximity to their body.
