The display case comprises a box consisting of a display case frame and a rear wall, which includes a lighting arrangement and a mounting fixture for a transparent poster. A cover is flexible connected to the box, and consists of a glass or transparent plastic pane and a surrounding frame. The display case frame is manufactured from cord profiles. The lighting arrangement consists of at least one cylindrical lighting tube (9) which produces a light bundle (l7) in a direction parallel or nearly parallel to the poster (8). A reflector (10) is arranged in the rear wall area of the box and reflects the light bundle onto the entire surface of the poster. The cylindrical lighting tube consists of a tubular profile section (12) in a beam of the display case frame, which comprises a longitudinal slit (11) and a plastic foil (13) inserted in the profile section.
