The shield has shielding openings in which non-conductive aids (B) are disposed. The shields (S) are provided to protect articles e.g. to prevent the effect of radiation on the articles and from the articles. The articles are e.g. systems, devices or parts of devices esp. those which must be operated or mounted. The non-conductive aids e.g. operating elements are arranged in the openings. The shield may cover shielded articles esp. flexible or movable articles.
