This plant moulds plastic, hollow vessel mouldings. Its extrusion press (2) delivers the tubular moulding (3) into two chains (A, B) of moulds (4a-b), following parallel, closed, recirculating paths. These paths become adjacent at the exit path of the moulding, where the mould halves join. The moulds form a sequence of opposing semi-cylindrical depressions (5a-b). There is a drive for the parallel motion of the moulds. The pressure difference is measured, between moulding interior and the mould depressions and hollow mouldings. In this novel design, the moulds (4a-b) have intermediate sections (40a-b) separating units of one or more mouldings (15).
