The equipment consists of a hand operated pad (4) which is loaded outwards by springs (10), while the outward travel of the pad is limited by a stop (13). The pad is mounted typically on the handle (2) of a tennis racket. The pad is prevented from sideways movements by guide pins (7) which slide in sleeves (5). The springs used to load the pad are mounted around the guidepins. The pad incorporates an anchor pin (11) on the end of which the stop (13) is mounted. When the pad is fully pressed down, the stop makes contact with a sensor (15) which is connected to a display (17).
