The device has an inner contact element and an outer contact element which can be pushed on to the inner element. It also has at least one sprung ring which has spring sections to bridge a ring gap between the contact elements in their coaxial position, to make a contact. At least one ring groove (6) axially holds at least one sprung ring to one of the two contact elements. At least one sprung ring is formed as an open or closed spiral sprung ring (3a) which lies in a corresponding ring groove (6). All of the windings of the spiral ring (3a) have a predetermined one-sided slope along the circumferential direction of its outer radial circular ring. When radial pressure is applied to the spiral ring (3a), this enables a definite tilting movement to amplify the slope.
