Fluidised bed appts. with a suction device is claimed for the prodn. and/or treatment of a granular material. The appts. has a revolving chamber (58,58'). A gaseous medium (79) is directed through the base (22) of the chamber into material (64) in the chamber such that the material moves in a circular fashion and revolves. The radially operating suction device (60) removes the dust component (66) of the circulating material (64). Also claimed is a process to produce and/or treat a granular material using the device.
