Adsorption process includes: (a) introducing at least high and low pressure feed streams into several adsorption beds contg. at least one adsorbent to adsorb at least one more pref. adsorbed component contd. within the high and low pressure feed streams, thereby to produce at least high and low pressure prod. streams from adsorption by at least one adsorbent; (b) subjecting several beds to operational cycles, each having at least two adsorption stages consisting of high and low pressure feed stages having high and low pressure feed streams introduced into the beds; (c) at least two repressurisation stages situated just prior to the high and low pressure feed stages, the repressurisation stages including a high pressure repressurisation stage prior to the high pressure feed stage and a low pressure repressurisation stage before the low pressure feed stage; and (d) regeneration stages for desorbing the at least one more pref. adsorbed component; and also (e) the operational cycles being conducted out-of-phase w.r.t one another, such that the high and low pressure prod. streams are continually being produced. |
