The pipe formation has a flange at a common mouth point, the flange having a hole for accommodating the pipe's mouth area. The pipe wall is welded to the edge of the flange hole surrounding the mouth area. The pipe formation comprises two pipe-pieces (3,4), which in the mouth area are connected in one-piece formation via a common straight edge (6). The straight edge of the hole of the flange (1) runs crossways centrally and the remaining rounded edges of the pipe-pieces are welded to the flange in the area of its hole. The pipe-pieces in the flange and mouth area are D-shaped in cross-section. The straight edges of the D-shape are connected via a material bridge of one-piece formation with the pipe ends.
