<p>Benzimidazole compounds represented by general formula (IA) and analogs thereof, wherein Y represents a single bond or sulfur; Z represents oxygen, sulfur or N-R?4; R1 and R2¿ independently represent each hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl, etc.; R?3 and R4¿ independently represent each hydrogen, alkyl, acyl, etc.; n and m independently represent each an integer of 1, 2 or 3; and L represents a linking group such as C¿2-12? alkylene or alkylene containing one or more phenylene groups or ether groups. The compounds are useful as the active ingredient of drugs such as a preventive or remedy for hyperlipemia or arterial sclerosis.</p> |
