<p>The batch type data input and output control system executes a file output program forming a file in an external storage apparatus to which the data is outputted from a main storage apparatus and a file input program for processing the data of the formed file. An input and output parallel management unit for managing a parallel process of a pair of file output program and file input program which use the same file and the data transfer unit for transferring the data within said main storage apparatus without going through the external storage apparatus in accordance with the management of said input and output parallel management unit are provided within an operating system. The data written when the file output program starts an execute is sequentially and directly transmitted to the file input program in units of a character or record. The name of the program which is a subject of the parallel processing and has the same file, in the data storage unit in the main storage apparatus can be registered or deleted by a designation by other program or the user. When the file output program or the file input program end in an abnormal manner, the other program constituting one pair together with one program is compulsorily ended and when both programs end in a normal manner and the sequential program is designated by the user, the sequential program is automatically initiated.</p> |
