The prepn. of a cloth, esp. a cover, contg. a layer of at least two synthetic materials - comprises laying together thin, flat, double-layer composite pieces of two thermoplastic materials, the difference between their m.pts. being more than 20 degrees C, and then applying pressure and heating the pieces at a temp. between the two m.pts. of the different materials.
