The invention concerns a method of conveying a free-flowing component, in particular a corrosive and/or abrasive reaction component, which has previously to be heated, from its packing drum (3; 15-19) provided with a removable lid. The packing drum is placed in a heating chamber (5) and heated. The packing drum which has been heated to processing temperature and is in the open state is then raised to such a level that the stationary intake opening (1) of a pump (2) comes to lie in the base region of the packing drum. A further, unheated packing drum is then introduced into the heating chamber below the packing drum which has now been raised. The further packing drum is then heated and finally, when the raised packing drum has been emptied, the lower packing drum which has now been heated is removed from the heating chamber. The emptied packing drum is then lowered and likewise removed. Finally, the previously heated packing drum is returned to the heating chamber and raised. The invention also concerns a device for carrying out the method. |
