PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle tip guard capable of efficiently shielding the pointed end of a needle after use. SOLUTION: The needle tip guard 10 provided with a movable collet 30 to engage the needle at a fixed shielded position is provided. This needle tip guard in this invention contains a housing 20, the collet 30, a rotary ram 40, a cam 50 with screw fixed on the rotary ram, a spring 60 arranged between the rotary ram and the housing, and a clamp 70 for trigger which holds the cam with screw at a fixed position against the force of the spring. The spring is set in a wound state when the needle 5 is located at an unshielded position. When the needle is pulled into the needle tip guard, the clamp for trigger is driven pivotally, which permits the cam with screw to rotate by the spring. Such torque is changed to motion in an axial direction by a screw on the cam with screw and a screw formed in the inside of the housing. Such motion in the axial direction makes a circular flange 32 on the collet bite with the needle, and in such a way, the needle is held at the fixed shielded position. |
