PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent that printing is continued though one soln. is exhausted by setting the housing amt. of a first liquid and that of an ink compsn. so that the ink compsn. is precedingly exhausted. SOLUTION: An ink compsn. and a first liquid containing a polyvalent metal salt are housed in an ink tank 2 to be supplied to a recording head 1 through a tube 3. The ink tank 2 is internally partitioned to provide an ink compsn. chamber and a first liquid chamber and, in consideration of the respective consumption amts. of the ink compsn. and the first liquid, the amts. of the ink compsn. and the first liquid are determined so that the ink compsn. is precedingly exhausted as compared with the first liquid. Since the ink compsn. is precedingly exhausted, it is known that a recording method printing two liquids becomes impossible by such a clear state that color printing is not performed and recording by two liquids can be always performed. |
