PREPARATION OF FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fiber by simultaneously extruding a material containing≡SiO and an aqueous organic polymer solution and obtain the fiber. SOLUTION: An elastic fiber is produced by simultaneously extruding an extrudable and curable material containing≡SiO group and an aqueous organic polymer solution into a solid bath. The material containing≡SiO group is enclosed by the solidified organic polymer, then is cured in a protective sheath, and thereafter the organic polymer sheath is dissolved to expose the continuous elastic fiber of≡SiO group-containing material.
