PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method for detection of color misregistration, capable of detecting existence of color misregistration with visual observation and simply and highly precisely detecting amounts of color misregistration. SOLUTION: This recording method serves to detect relative positional misregistration among images of respective colors in a color image recording apparatus which records images of a plurality of colors. The method comprises overlapping and recording such that a pattern 103 obtained by overlapping a first pattern 101 composed of an achromatic color and a second pattern 102 composed of a chromatic color is made a pattern of an achromatic color, when there is no relative positional misregistration between the both patterns 101, 102 and is made a pattern of a chromatic color when there is some relative positional misregistration between the both patterns. |
