PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject leader composed of a bat part, a taper part and a tippet part made of a synthetic resin monofilament, producing small fluctuation of the coasting feeling by making the elongations of the bat part and the taper part low, and having high breaking tenacity and knot tenacity. SOLUTION: This fishing leader is composed of a bat part 2, a taper part 3 and a tippet part 4 each made of a monofilament of a synthetic resin such as a fluorinated vinylidene resin. In the objective leader 1, the elongation of each of the bat part 2 and the taper part 3 is <=65%, preferably 20-65%, and the elongation of the bat part 2 is preferably <=2.5 times that of the tippet part 4. |
