PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent seal failure from occurring inespective of the condition of a part to be sealed by controlling a temperature, a pressing force, etc., of a sealing die on the basis of observed optical information obtained from the sealed part immediately after sealing. SOLUTION: When a gently sealed part 7 formed by the operation of heating platens 5, 5 is fed forward, an infrared ray video unit 1 set at a forward feed position receives and processes infrared rays radiated from the gently sealed part 7, which still keeps a high temperature immediately after forming the gently sealed part, to obtain observed temperature distribution data on the gently sealed part 7 and sends the data thus obtained to an optical information operation processing unit 2. Standard optical information such as, for example, standard temperature distribution data, on the gently sealed part 7 is recorded in advance in the optical information operation processing unit 2. Thus, upon receipt of the observed temperature distribution data from the video unit 1, the optical information operation processing unit 2 compares and collates the data received with the standard temperature distribution data to execute an arithmetic operation and controls the temperature of the heating platens 5, 5 to a predetermined temperature through a temperature control operating unit 3 on the basis of the result of the arithmetic operation. |
