PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external staircase having two support stanchions, reducing the cost, improving the external appearance, effectively utilizing the space below the staircase, and increasing strength. SOLUTION: A pair of stanchions 3 are erected in parallel with the outer wall 2 face of a building main body 1 outside the building main body 1. Beams 4 are protruded from a pair of stanchions 3 to the building main body 1 side and to the opposite side. The lower faces of landings 5 of a U-shaped staircase are supported by the beams 4, and the end sections of the beams 4 protruded to the building main body 1 side are connected to the building main body 1. |
