PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a stock for a current transformer excellent in impedance ratio permeability in a magnetized state, in an Ni-Fe alloy contg. specified amounts of Ni and Fe, by regulating the grain size and the intensity of the texture to specified ones. SOLUTION: This Ni-Fe alloy has a compsn. contg., by weight, 75 to 85% Ni, and the balance substantial Fe. The grain size of the alloy crystals is regulated to 125 to 175μm. The intensity of the 100} texture is regulated to 1 to 2.5. In the case the grain size after magnetic annealing is less than 125μm, they are fine grains, so that, at the time of a magnetizing process, the movement of magnetic domain walls shall be executed by penning to deteriorate the impedance ratio permeability. In the case of >175μm, they are coarse crystalline grains, so that the moving distance of the magnetic domain walls is lengthened in the magnetizing process, and they can not follow the inversion of the magnetization to generate loss and to deteriorate the impedance ratio permeability. In the case the intensity of the 100} texture is less than 1, the cold rolled texture 100} remains to deteriorate the permeability. In the case of >2.5, uniaxial magnetic anisotropy develops to deteriorate the impedance ratio permeability. |
