Liquid detergent composition is prepared by mixing 5.0-20.0 wt.% of a surfactant and 0.5-10.0 wt.% of a foaming agent with 0.5-20 wt.% of a saponin-containing plant extract based on the total wt. of detergent. The saponin-containing plant extract is one or more selected from Asparagus, Butchers bloom, Calendula, Dead nettle, Ginseng, Horse chestnut, Horse tail, Liquorice, Rosemary, Sage, Yucca, or Quillala. Title composition has a good detergency, washability, foaming power, and flavor.
