PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for evaluating simply and quickly the cardiac vein function of a patient receiving ventilation. SOLUTION: In a method for evaluating the cardiac vein function of a patient who is under ventilation with a prescribed periodic volume and/or pressure, this method and its device are constituted of (a) steps to vary the periodic volume or pressure at least in one respiratory cycle and (b) steps to measure parameters in blood circulation dynamics in accordance with the variations in the (a) steps. The device for evaluating the cardiac vein function is provided with (a) a ventilation device for supplying air with at least two different periodic volumes or pressures, (b) means for measuring responses in blood circulation dynamics in accordance with the changes in the periodic volume or the pressure and, though arbitrarily, (c) computing device for carrying out analytical calculation in response to the measured data. |
