PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hand held laser beam machine with high reliability and not causing a machining defect by providing a sensor switch to detect distance and output a first ON signal and an at-hand switch to output a second ON signal. SOLUTION: A sensor switch part 40 outputs a first ON signal s1 when the distance between a hand held torch 20 and an object to be machined is in a prescribed distance. Then a laser beam controller 13 outputs a control signal c1 and controls a laser beam oscillator 11 to generate a laser beam. Subsequently, at the state that the first ON signal s1 is continuously supplied, when a second ON signal s2 from an at-hand switch 21 is supplied, a control signal s2 is outputted to drive/control a shutter 12, by passing through the laser beam, irradiation is executed from the hand held torch 20 through an optical fiber. As the laser controller 13 is supplied with the second ON signal s2 from the at-hand switch 21 beforehand, even when the first signal s1 is supplied from the sensor switch part 40, the laser beam is not emitted. |
