摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct framing racks in small dimensions and thereby make small an automated warehouse itself by distributing objects to different addresses depending upon their heights, and forming accommodation racks as addresses with varying heights in steps so as to suit the different heights of the objects accommodated. SOLUTION: Framing racks 2a, 2b of an automated warehouse 1 are formed with different heights have accommodation parts 3 formed with different heights so as to suit varying heights of object to be accommodated W and accordingly are embodied in smaller dimensions than then the accommodation part is designed for the maximum size of objects W. The height of the incoming or restored object W is measured by a sensor 7/9, and a stock managing computer decides from the height the empty rack C as the address for the object, wherein the rack C should have the minimum size able to admit it W. The computer also decides the empty rack C, where a proprietary pallet P is to be stored (return), and a pallet rack B from which object is discharged while securing a specified number (two) of empty racks C at each stage (rack size) is taken as the supreme priority.
