PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a string improved in strength, hard to be rusted and improved in durability by forming a lily yarn as string from a metal yarn made of stainless steel. SOLUTION: A metal filament 12 constituting a lily yarn 11 as string is formed from stainless steel. For example, using a metal filament 12 of a diameter of 0.06mm, the metal filament 12 is knitted with a string knitting machine having three needles. Accordingly, the metal filament 12 made of stainless steel has greatly higher strength and durability than those of synthetic fiber, the lily yarn 11 formed with the metal filament 12 can expand its application range wider than a conventional lily yarn. For example, the lily yarn 11 is netted and formed to a fire curtain and can be used for under adverse conditions such as a place having much humidity, a place exposed to direct ray, etc. Further, coloring process is executed only by heating the lily yarn 11 with a burner 13. |
