PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving tire noise performance and at the same time keeping down cost increase without incurring sharp increase in rolling resistance caused by tanδincrease and conspicuous deterioration in abrasion resistance and cut-resistance even if a rubber vibration isolator is used. SOLUTION: This is with regard to a pneumatic tire having its side rubber portion 3A, which is adjoiningly provided on the outside of a carcass 4 on the side wall portion 3 arranged between a tread portion 1 and a bead portion 2, made inclusive of a rubber vibration isolator part 3a which is arranged so as to make it cross a midpoint C in the tire diameter direction between the shoulder ground end of a tread part 1 and the tire maximum width position 'p', and a thickness Ga in the normal direction with respect to the carcass 4 of the rubber vibration isolator part 3a in the midpoint C is made with a maximum thickness, while the ratio of Ga/Gb to a thickness Gb in the normal direction with respect to the carcass 4 of the side rubber portion 3A in the midpoint C is set to 0.1 to 0.5.
