PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an osteogenesis promoter effectively acting on osteogenesis promoter and an osteogenesis composition using the promoter. SOLUTION: This osteogenesis promoter is a substance extracted from an animal bone and contains Mg, Si, Ca and Na as essential components. The osteogenesis promoter is produced by preserving skin or animal bone immersed in an acid in lime, neutralizing, extracting under heating, concentrating, drying and extracting the prepared gelatin under heating. The formed substance contains hydroxyapatite powder, forms a hardening neutral bone material and is mixed with a chitosan sol to form an osteogenesis promoting sheet.
