<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device for image forming device, which admits stacking of max. 500 sheets of paper by incorporating a universal tray capable of accommodating any sheets of paper from small to large size and can maintain the same performance as conventional mechanism while the costs are well suppressed. SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device concerned is composed of feed roller 2, bottom plate 3, pressurizing lever 4, and a bottom plate pressurizing mechanism 30 equipped with a main pressurizing spring 7 and aux. pressurizing spring 8 for putting the uppermost sheet 1 of the stack on the bottom plate 3 in pressure contact with the feed roller 2 through the action of the lever 4. In accordance with the type, size, etc. of the fed sheets, the pressurizing force of at least the aux. spring 8 is made adjustable in compliance with its tensile force by changing the tensile length while the spring 8 is hitched displaceably at the first hitching part Pa and the free end hitching part Pb and one end of the main spring 7 is secured to the fixed end hitching part Pd.</p> |
